AQMD
 The South Coast Air Quality Management District is required by state and federal laws to develop and adopt rules and regulations to reduce air pollution to meet federal and state health standards in the four California counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino. The AQMD has provided funding to support development and testing of numerous vehicles using variants of ISE's hybrid drive technologies, including electric trams and hybrid buses and trucks using alternative fuels.

 The California Air Resources Board is a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency, an organization that reports directly to the Governor's Office in the Executive Branch of California State Government.

California Energy Commission
 The California Energy Commission is the state's primary energy policy and planning agency. Following electricity industry deregulation, the Commission's functions include overseeing funding programs that support public interest energy research; advance energy science and technology through research, development and demonstration; and provide market support to existing, new and emerging renewable technologies. The California Energy Commission provided funding to assist ISE in development of its hydrogen hybrid drive system.

  WestStart - CALSTART is dedicated to transforming transportation for a better world, by creating and expanding a global advanced transportation technologies industry and related markets. CALSTART taps the knowledge and experience of world class firms in the aerospace, electronics, automotive and defense industries, and combines those skills with entrepreneurial talents of exceptional small businesses to create this new industry. CALSTART has provided seed funding in support of numerous ISE technology and advanced vehicle initiatives since 1996. ISE's gasoline and propane hybrid buses, hydrogen hybrid bus, CNG hybrid trucks, fuel cell buses, electric trams, and a ultracapacitor technology programs all received WestStart-CALSTART support. ISE was the winner of CALSTART's Blue Sky Award in 2002, the only small business ever to win this distinction.

U.S. Department of Transportation
 The Department of Transportation was established by an act of Congress in 1966. The Department's mission is to serve the United States by ensuring a fast, safe, efficient, accessible and convenient transportation system that meets our vital national interests and enhances the quality of life of the American people, today and into the future. The Department of Transportation has provided funding to support several ISE technology and vehicle initiatives, including ISE's propane, gasoline, and hydrogen hybrid bus development and demonstration programs.

U.S. Army (TACOM)
 TACOM is one of the Army's largest weapon systems research, development, and sustainment organizations. TACOM's mission, serving the world over, is to provide and sustain mobility, lethality, and survivability for soldiers, other services, and our Allies through ground combat, automotive, marine and armaments technologies. ISE is working with TACOM to develop and evaluate a new generation of tactical military vehicles using ISE's series hybrid technology. ISE's hybrid system is being tested in trucks supplied by Stewart & Stevenson, for potential future application to the Army's Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) Program.
