Job Description:

This Embedded Software Controls Engineer is responsible for the Design and Development of ISE's Embedded Software Solutions installed on our Heavy Duty Electric-Hybrid Vehicles across US and Europe.

This will involve the development of Control Methods and Interfaces to various electro-mechanical and electronic components.

Responsibilities will also include the Technical Leadership and significant technical contributions (Testing, Commissioning, & Trouble-Shooting) for all ISE Embedded Controller projects and so you will understand and design production oriented 'Control Systems' capability as well as lead key software developer/code modules.

Development of Service and Support programs will also be designed and developed to deliver and support maximum uptime, quality metrics and visibility across all commercial productions units shipped globally.

Position Requirements:

Must have:

  • BSEE or BSCS is required.
  • 5+ years with Embedded Programming Capabilities in both :  C & C++
  • Strong Experience with PLC based Control Systems, usage of CAN as an Automotive Field Bus and basic Automotive Electrical Systems and tools including: Ocilloscopes, DMM, Megaohmmeter/Hipot testers....
  • Substantial knowledge/experience with CAN, SAE J1939, RS232 and other Field-Bus architectures.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with engineer staff, vendors, customers, and field tech support.
  • Ability to travel 20%.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with modern Electronic (On-Board) Diagnostic Tools.
  • General interest in the Automotive/Transit Industry is a plus.
