Job Description:

This individual will be working with the Quality Assurance Manager and the Engineering teams to further develop, implement, refine, and maintain our quality system.

This will involve the supervision, inspection and active participation in the development and implementation of quality process controls.

Applicant should be a motivated self-starter with a strong knowledge of quality systems from supplier to after delivery customer support. Applicant should also have participated in the development of ISO procedures, audit and certification.

This key position will report to ISE's Quality Assurance Manager and will require interfacing with component suppliers, production personnel, engineering, customers and corporate management.

Applicant is expected to utilize statistical techniques to analyze inspection and test data to improve processes. Facilitate root cause analyses and mistake proofing of processes to resolve repetitive quality issues.

Responsible for analyzing quality data to determine process capabilities, failure modes and product yields, and uses this data to drive action for quality improvement.

Provide feedback, and suggestions concerning process, design and product improvements at the design and pre-production stage.

Position Requirements:

Must have:

  • 5+ years experience with Quality Assurance Systems within a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of experience within a major Automotive Manufacturer/Tier 1 Supplier
  • Keen knowledge & experience with reading and using Drawings/Schematics
  • Active experience in an Assembly Line Environment with applied Line Quality and Process Control including metrics
  • ASQ Certification - Quality Engineer

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Oracle's Quality Data Module
  • Experience in design & development of Electric or Hybrid-Electric vehicles
  • FMEA, 6-Sigma Black Belt
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS16949, ISO 14001, SAE & FMVSS Standards
  • General interest in the Heavy-Duty Automotive/Transit Industry is a plus.
