Job Description:

This extended CONTRACT, Pro-E CAD Drafter role will actively participate in the detailed drafting & specs to convert all 3D designs and product improvements into 2D Drawings & Schematics.

Support the development and field duty, of our Heavy Duty Hybrid-Electric Drive Systems and related sub-systems.

Duties would range from converting original 3D parts and assemblies into detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for manufacturing.

Candidate will also be participating/assisting with detailed 3D CAD modeling, so Pro-E Wildfire 2.0 is a must.

This includes a broad range of Mechanical Systems such as: Engines, Turbines, Fuel Cells, Gearboxes, Motors, Thermal, Structural & Advanced Energy Storage systems.

Applicant must be a motivated and adaptive self-starter with excellent communication and project leadership skills.

A strong knowledge of the Automotive industry or Heavy Duty vehicles is a plus.

This successful applicant will gain extensive, hands-on experience in the design, operation and documentation of cutting-edge Electric and Hybrid-Electric vehicle systems.

Mandatory Position Requirements:

  • 2+ years CAD Design or Drafting Experience
  • Significant Experience with Pro-E Wildfire 2.0 is mandatory
  • Understanding of Machining & Structural Fabrication process and procedures

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • Experience with PDMLink and/or Intra Link
  • Experience with Engines, Fuel Cells, Components, Complex Mechanical Systems
  • Familiarity with Component Design, 2D Drawings for Large Assembly Management
  • Understanding of Material Disposition, Engineering Change Management and the overall ECO/ECR Process is a plus
