Looking to the future

With clean technology and the hybrid vehicle industry driving ahead at full speed, ISE is keeping pace with hybrid innovations developed with our customers’ goals in mind. Our plans include the future production of battery dominant and all-electric vehicle systems that leverage ISE’s core technologies of energy storage, controls software, and power electronics.

As industries increase their focus on battery technologies, we see the commercial viability of battery-dominant, plug-in compatible, and all-electric heavy-duty commercial vehicles growing each day. Adding momentum to this demand, new regulations have been put forth by the California Air Resources Board. Beginning in 2012, any municipal fleet operating more than 200 buses must allocate at least 15% of new vehicle purchases for zero emission vehicles. ISE’s series architecture and energy storage expertise mesh seamlessly with these regulatory trends to pave a clear path for leadership in this rapidly emerging market.
