ISE Corporation, a global leader in hybrid-electric drive systems and components for clean heavy-duty propulsion located in Poway, CA, is seeking an Applications Engineering Intern to perform data analysis and automate data analysis of field data. This is an exceptional opportunity for an entry-level candidate interested in joining the exciting field of green technology.
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent Matlab and C++ skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- VBA Excel programming experience or an interest in learning VBA
- An understanding of automotive mechanical and electrical systems
- Current tenure as a college engineering student or be a recent graduate
- A minimum of a 3.5 GPA and the ability to illustrate high learning capability
Specific tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Custom Data analysis reporting
- Project to transfer current data analysis tools to Matlab and automate the process
- Fuel consumption comparisons (data analysis, field testing and validation)
Additional desired qualifications include:
- Matlab&Simulink experience
- Linux experience
- Hybrid system understanding
- Data analysis experience
