ISE is a reliable supplier of hybrid drive systems for heavy-duty, high duty cycle transit buses. Our installed base of approximately 250 hybrid buses deployed with more than 10 transit operators in the US have accumulated more than 12 million operational fleet miles.
ISE’s advanced, flexible series hybrid system design enables the use of smaller engines which provides improved fuel economy and reduced emissions. Our gasoline hybrid system has been proven to increase fuel efficiency in transit buses by up to 63% over competing hybrids. ISE was the first to develop a fuel cell-powered hybrid drive system used in regular passenger service.
More than 20 transit buses powered by our hybrid drive systems will be showcased in the 2010 Winter Games taking place in Whistler, B.C. and the 2012 London Summer Games. Fifty (50) transit buses powered by our hybrid systems will also run a high profile operating route in Las Vegas.
